Development of the website design of the restaurant of traditional Japanese cuisine Swuudo
Swuudo is a chain of traditional restaurants in Tokyo. Famous local chefs cook according to old Japanese recipes from fresh seafood those dishes that have been loved and popular in Japan for decades.

In the design of the site, it was important to emphasize the continuity of traditions and convey the connection with the ancient culture of the country.

The website design is based on associations with Japanese calligraphy. This theme develops both in specific fonts, and in hieroglyphic illustrations accompanying the description of dishes on the menu, and in the background of the page in the color of yellow wax, which resembles thin rice paper for writing.

The non—standard arrangement of elements on the page makes it look like an official form - so each dish presented is perceived as a piece product with tangible value.
